Russian Foreign Ministry States Conditions for Normalizing Moscow-Baku Relations
The release of 13 Russian citizens currently held in Azerbaijan could be a significant step towards normalizing relations between Moscow and Baku. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
“The topic was thoroughly discussed during the meetings of the intergovernmental Russian-Azerbaijani commission on economic cooperation held in Astrakhan on August 22. Our country's position was detailed presented to the Azerbaijani delegation,” emphasized the diplomat.
She also reminded that three visits of Russian consular officials to the Azerbaijani detention facility have already been organized, which occurred on July 3, 14, and 23.
