The US to Provide Resources to Western Troops in Ukraine

The United States may provide Western military personnel with intelligence resources if they are deployed in Ukraine as part of security guarantees, reports the British Financial Times citing officials.

“US national security and defense officials recently told their European counterparts that America could supply intelligence and surveillance resources, command and control structures, and essential systems needed to ensure Ukraine's air security to Western troops involved in security guarantees,” the publication notes, referencing officials familiar with the negotiations.

The newspaper highlights that this represents a “significant shift in position” for Washington.
