Investigators Provide Details on Businessman Karen Gasparyan's Death

Criminal proceedings have been initiated concerning the death of businessman Karen Gasparyan under two articles of the Criminal Code. This was reported to Sputnik by the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

According to their statement, criminal proceedings have been initiated under Article 162, Part 1 (driving to suicide) and Article 335, Part 1 (illegal trafficking of firearms, their essential components, military ammunition, and other substances, devices, or objects).

The Investigative Committee also confirmed that forensic medical and forensic ballistic examinations have been appointed. An investigation is ongoing.

It is worth reminding that on August 18, the body of a man was discovered in the underground parking lot of an elite building on Demirchyan Street in Yerevan, with a gunshot wound to the neck and a pistol in his hand. Initial reports suggest that the man committed suicide with the firearm while in his vehicle.
