Tsunami Waves Reach the U.S. Following Earthquake
The first tsunami waves have reached the shores of California, USA, following a powerful earthquake off the coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula. This was reported by CNN.
Rising water levels have been observed in Crescent City, Northern California, near the Oregon border. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, waves exceeding 0.3 meters have been recorded, and more waves are expected soon.
It is noteworthy that tsunami warnings and evacuations have been declared in the Hawaiian Islands, Japan, and other countries. Waves exceeding 1 meter have already been recorded along the shores of the Hawaiian Islands, and flights to Maui have been temporarily suspended.
