Russia's 'Tough' Response to Trump's Statement
Russia has responded to U.S. President Donald Trump's statement that he has shortened the 50-day timeline given to Russia for achieving peace with Ukraine to a current 10-12 day period. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Moscow is focused on a peaceful resolution of the conflict, taking into account its own interests.
Peskov, commenting on reports about a possible meeting between the presidents of Russia and the United States, noted, 'Such a matter is not currently under discussion.'
It is worth mentioning that Donald Trump had recently declared that he had given Russia 50 days to reach peace with Ukraine, or else a new round of sanctions would be imposed.
