Lost Russian Aircraft Discovered; No Survivors
The press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations has reported that the crash site of an An-24 passenger plane has been located in the Amur region.
“During search operations, a Mi-8 helicopter from the Federal Air Transport Agency discovered the aircraft's fuselage, which is on fire. Rescuers are continuing to move towards the incident site,” the agency stated.
According to preliminary information, there are no survivors from the crash.
It is worth mentioning that earlier reports indicated that contact with the An-24 passenger aircraft had been lost in the Amur region of Russia, which was carrying 43 passengers (including 5 children) and 6 crew members.
