Public Criminal Prosecution for Cruel Treatment of a Dog
A public criminal prosecution has been initiated against an individual detained for the cruel treatment of a dog in Byureghavan. This was reported to Radar Armenia by the Investigative Committee.
The prosecution has been initiated under the first part of Article 307 (Cruelty to animals, punishable by a fine of up to twenty times the minimum wage, community service for a duration of eighty to one hundred fifty hours, short-term imprisonment for a maximum of two months, or imprisonment for a maximum of two years).
Recall that a video had circulated on the internet showing a driver tying a dog to a vehicle and dragging it.
