No Incident During Discussion at CPP: Khudatyan on Reasons for Dismissal of Simidian
The decision to dismiss Hakob Simidian from his position as Minister of Environment will be explained by himself; I see no need to comment on it. This was stated by Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Davit Khudatyan during a conversation with journalists, responding to media reports suggesting that the reason was Simidian's opposition to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
“Such issues are decided by the Prime Minister of the Republic, and these decisions often come as a surprise to the public, but they are made by the Prime Minister. In the CPP party, discussions are open, and during this working process, it often happens that different opinions are expressed, but there hasn’t been a highlighted incident as such. Everyone can freely express and expresses their position there,” Khudatyan said.
Speaking about the working meeting of the CPP in Goris, Khudatyan noted, “Working issues were discussed. Regarding that political meeting, the party has also issued a relevant statement, and I have nothing to add to it. In other words, we discussed the agenda that was presented in that statement.”
It is noteworthy that Hakob Simidian was dismissed from the position of Minister of Environment at the suggestion of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and by the decree of President Vahagn Khachaturyan.
