Russia's Largest Attack on Ukraine: 728 Drones in One Night
Russia launched a massive new offensive against Ukraine overnight using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and missiles. The main target was the city of Lutsk, which was hit by 5 Kinzhal missiles and dozens of drones. This was reported by the BBC's Russian service.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, a total of 728 drones were released against the country, marking the highest number since the onset of military operations. Additionally, 13 Iskander and Kinzhal missiles were fired at Ukraine. Of the drones, 718 and 7 of the Iskander cruise missiles were either shot down or suppressed by electronic warfare measures.
More than 50 drones targeted Lutsk, with 4 striking their targets. Debris from the drones fell in 14 locations. According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties. Ukraine also launched drones towards Russia, resulting in 3 deaths and 7 injuries in Kursk.
