Moscow Awaits New Negotiation Dates with Kyiv: Peskov
President Putin has informed Trump that Moscow is awaiting the dates for new negotiations with Kyiv, the spokesperson for the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, announced after a phone conversation with U.S. leader Donald Trump.
Peskov discussed the content of the conversation during a press briefing. "The president has informed his American counterpart that we are currently waiting for the agreement on the dates for the third round of direct negotiations," said the Kremlin spokesperson.
It is noteworthy that the second round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine took place on June 2. Following this, the parties exchanged drafts of memoranda regarding peaceful resolution and agreed to exchange heavily wounded prisoners of war and the bodies of the deceased. Moscow has handed over approximately 6,000 bodies of fallen servicemen to Kyiv.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has noted that Moscow expects the dates for the next round of negotiations to be set after June 22.
