I Won't Know If New Residents Move In, They Should Demolish Those Buildings to the Ground: Avinyan
Individuals residing in these buildings must first understand that their lives are at risk. This statement was made by Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan during the municipal government's procedural meeting, addressing the emergency buildings on Arzumanyan Street classified as category 4.
“The municipal government is implementing this program solely for this reason. It has neither the authority nor the obligation,” emphasized Tigran Avinyan.
He highlighted that the buildings must be demolished: “This cycle has to come to an end at some point. All those buildings from which we have evacuated residents, I won’t know if new residents come in, settle down, and decide that they too should receive those privileges. The buildings should be demolished to the ground, and a tractor should go over them several times.”
