Peskov on Possible Regime Change Claims in Iran
The Kremlin has noted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's statement suggesting that an attack by the Jewish state on Iran could lead to a regime change in that republic. This was announced by Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian President, as reported by TASS.
“Of course, we have seen, heard, and read that statement. The Kremlin condemns the actions that have led to such a dangerous escalation of tensions in the Middle East. At the same time, Russia emphasizes the importance of societal cohesion in Iran against the backdrop of Israeli airstrikes,” Peskov highlighted.
