Changes to Russian Language Exam for Migrants in Russia
The Russian language exam for migrants in Russia will be conducted exclusively using computer and remote technologies starting January 1, 2026. This was announced by Konstantin Mogilevsky, the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Russia.
Measures for organizing and monitoring the administration of the exam for migrants were discussed at a meeting of the State Duma's Committee on Science and Higher Education. Mogilevsky added that the AB platform developed by Tomsk State University is currently in the testing phase. This platform will be used to administer the exam in all regions of the Siberian Federal District, in the LPR, and in several other subjects.
The option of conducting an oral exam is still under discussion.
