Zelensky Reveals Damage Inflicted on Russia During 'Spider Web' Operation
During the 'Spider Web' operation, Ukrainian military forces successfully destroyed 41 Russian aircraft. Half of these planes will never be recovered. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a press briefing.
Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine is doing everything possible to halt Russia, specifically targeting their aviation, bombings, and overall capabilities. He mentioned that today he has awarded the soldiers involved in the 'Spider Web' operation with a classified decree.
"Half of those cannot be restored, and for some, it will take years to recover, if they can be recovered at all. It is indeed a justified military objective," Zelensky noted.
Earlier, it was reported that the Security Service of Ukraine has initiated a special operation called 'Spider Web' with the aim of destroying Russia's strategic bombers. According to Ukrainian media, over 40 aircraft have been hit, including strategic bombers and fighter jets. The total damage is estimated at more than $2 billion.
