Changes to Soldiers' Leave Regulations
The government has approved a draft amendment to the law on "Military Service and the Status of Soldiers." According to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the draft establishes a 2-day leave entitlement after taking the oath.
He stated, "During their service, all conscripted soldiers are entitled to leave every 6 months, ensuring that not just some soldiers, who might address their problems, benefit from it, while others do not. All soldiers will go on leave every 6 months. The duration of the leave is correlated with the nature of the service; those whose service is more challenging will have a 10-day leave, while others will have a 7-day leave."
