Theft of Electric Cigarettes Worth 2 Million Dram
On the evening of May 18, the security staff of a shopping center located on Gayi Avenue in the capital called the police. A theft had occurred at the electric cigarette store.
An operational group from the Nor Nork division of the community police responded immediately. Utilizing technical equipment, they opened the door, entered the shop, and stole electric cigarettes worth 1.2 million dram.
While police were taking action, a similar report was received on May 25. In another store on Gayi Avenue, a thief had broken the hanging lock and stolen electric cigarettes worth 1 million dram. This crime also took place in the evening, after dark.
This time the law enforcement's actions yielded quick results. It turned out that both thefts were committed by a 55-year-old man residing on Moldovan Street in the capital. He was arrested on the morning of May 26 and taken to the Nor Nork division.
The man and the compiled documents have been submitted to the investigative body, and the circumstances are being clarified.
