Trump 'Cleans Out' Agency of Those Who Do Not Support His Policies: Financial Times
U.S. President Donald Trump has fired several dozen staffers from the National Security Council (NSC), giving them just 30 minutes to collect their belongings. This is reported by the Financial Times.
One source for the newspaper described the situation as a "liquidation." The process reportedly began three weeks after Trump dismissed former national security advisor Mike Woltzi, who held the chief NSC position. Woltzi has been replaced by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
It is emphasized that Trump is "cleaning out" the agency of those who do not support his policies and are obstructing the implementation of executive orders, attempting to act as a system of checks and balances.
