Head of the State Revenue Committee on the Margara Checkpoint
The head of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, Edward Hakobyan, announced that the committee is ready to operate the Margara checkpoint located on the Armenia-Turkey border. However, the political questions related to its opening remain unresolved.
During a press meeting, Hakobyan stated, "I have no news regarding the opening of the checkpoint, as it is a different kind of political issue. When this question arises, I clearly say that we are ready, including our infrastructure, our customs service, as well as the relevant equipment needed to manage the border flow. However, currently, there are no specific plans in place."
