One of the Arrested Officials of Yerevan Municipality Will Be Released
The head of the communal economy department of the Yerevan municipality, Arsen Karoyan, will be released. His lawyer, Petros Petrosyan, announced this on his Facebook page.
“A short while ago, the Anti-Corruption Court of Armenia ruled to eliminate the pre-trial detention imposed on Arsen Karoyan, the head of the municipal economy department of the Yerevan municipality,” Petrosyan wrote.
As alternative preventive measures, administrative supervision, a bail of 500,000 AMD, and the suspension of Karoyan’s position as the head of the municipal economy department have been applied. The lawyer expressed hope that the criminal prosecution will also be discontinued soon.
