Thunderstorms and Strong Winds Expected
Thunderstorms and short-term rain are expected in several regions of the Republic of Armenia after noon on May 20-21, with significant rainfall in many areas on May 24. This was reported by the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center.
The announcement indicates that during thunderstorms, wind speeds may intensify to 17-20 m/s. The air temperature is not expected to change significantly.
In Yerevan, dry weather is anticipated on May 20, and again on May 22-23. However, brief rain and thunderstorms are possible on the evening of May 21, with wind gusts of 13-15 m/s during the thunderstorms. The daytime temperature in the capital on May 20 will reach 24–26 degrees Celsius, while the evening temperatures will range from +17 to +19 degrees.
