Earthquake in Armenia
On May 20 at 10:11 AM local time (06:11 AM GMT), a seismic event was recorded by the seismic protection service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia. The earthquake struck in the border area between Armenia and Georgia, 8 km southeast of the village of Bavra, at a depth of 10 km, registering a magnitude of 2.9.
The intensity of the underground tremors in the epicentral zone was measured at 4 on the Richter scale. The quake was felt in the Shirak region, specifically in the villages of Bavra, Saragyugh, and Ashotsk, registering an intensity of 2-3 on the scale.
