Misinformation Regarding Vaccine for Chickenpox: NCDC
A user on social media has spread misinformation regarding the vaccine for chickenpox. This was announced by the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC).
"Currently, there are two vaccines available against chickenpox in the Republic of Armenia produced by different manufacturers. One is called Varicella (VARICELL VACCINE), manufactured by the Chinese company Sinovac, with its usage order approved on January 30, 2025. The other, called Barycela (BARYCELA), is produced by the Korean company GC Biopharma, with its usage order approved on May 7, 2025.
The user posted the order for the Barycela (BARYCELA) vaccine in their material, while the image showed the box of the Varicella (VARICELL VACCINE). The Ministry of Health urges the public not to spread unverified information and to avoid causing unwarranted concerns among the population due to false information," the statement reads.
