706 Children Living in Armenian Orphanages: Details
In 2024, nine children were adopted in Armenia, and eight were placed in foster families. According to data released by the National Statistical Committee, 706 children reside in Armenian orphanages, including 10 children under one year old and 101 aged between one and six.
Last year, 29 children were reunited with their biological families. In 2024, 87 children were admitted to orphanages, 21 of whom were under one year old.
Among the orphanage residents, 176 are bedridden, 45 have mental health issues, 218 have disabilities, and 228 require special educational conditions.
