Two Airplanes Unable to Land at Zvartnots International Airport
Two passenger airplanes are unable to land at Zvartnots International Airport. This information is based on data from Flightradar.
Specifically, an Airbus A320 from Air Arabia, which departed from Sharjah in the UAE, is circling in Armenia's airspace. A Boeing 737 from Shirak Air, which operates the Moscow-Yerevan flight, is also unable to land at Yerevan's airport.
The press service of Zvartnots International Airport informed Sputnik Armenia that the planes were unable to land due to strong winds.
"Currently, the plane coming from Sharjah is unable to land at Zvartnots, and another plane is waiting to take off," said airport officials.
UPDATE: The Moscow-Yerevan flight has landed at Zvartnots Airport. The Sharjah-Yerevan flight has landed in Tabriz. Due to the wind, the plane that could not land in Yerevan is likely to depart from Tabriz to the Armenian capital in about half an hour.
