Moscow Expresses Concern Over India-Pakistan Tensions: Russian Foreign Ministry
Moscow has expressed deep concern regarding the escalation of military tensions between India and Pakistan. This was announced by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
“Russia firmly condemns acts of terrorism, is against any manifestation of it, and emphasizes the need for the entire international community to coordinate efforts to effectively combat this evil,” she stated.
Moscow calls on the involved parties to exercise restraint to prevent further escalation of the situation in the region and expresses hope that the situation will be resolved through political and diplomatic means.
It is noted that the number of casualties in Pakistan due to Indian airstrikes has reached 26, with another 46 injured, whereas earlier reports indicated 2 dead and 12 wounded.
