This Factor is One of the Main Causes of the Conflict: Peskov

Messages from various levels in Washington stating that Ukraine's accession to the North Atlantic Alliance is excluded are pleasing to the Russian side. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, during a briefing with journalists.

He emphasized that these statements align with Moscow's position that Ukraine should not be a member of NATO and should not have the prospect of integration into the alliance. Otherwise, it would pose a threat to Russia's national interests, Peskov added.

According to him, this factor is one of the main causes of the conflict, as noted by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Kremlin representative pointed out that efforts to find ways to resolve the conflict peacefully cannot and should not occur in the public arena, but rather should be conducted discreetly. In this situation, it is crucial to be very cautious about the leakage of impersonal information.
