Pope Francis' Message to Armenia and Azerbaijan
Pope Francis dedicated his Easter message to a call for peace, global disarmament, and the release of prisoners around the world, as reported by Vatican News.
In his address, he also referenced the South Caucasus, noting that the prolonged tensions in the region require urgent reconciliation. He specifically prayed for a final peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan and for the healing of the region.
This year, the Easter liturgy at the Vatican was held without him.
Additionally, the Pope addressed the situation in Gaza, the war in Ukraine, and other conflicts, calling for peace in those areas as well.
