Lavrov: It Is Not Necessary to Speak with Russia in Such a Manner
The intention to create a coalition to send troops to Ukraine speaks to a desire to showcase one's own capabilities. It is not necessary to speak with Russia in such a manner. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on his Telegram channel, as reported by TASS.
“The coalition seems to strive to define and demonstrate its own capabilities as they wish, ignoring and completely disregarding the opinions of others. This is related to Nazi views and Nazi habits, but it is not necessary to speak with Russia in such a manner,” he said.
According to him, Russia sees how Macron, Starmer, and now also Merz, just before taking office as Chancellor, are openly shouting militaristic, hostile slogans, threatening the Russian Federation. “I do not believe that this reflects the position of the French or German peoples. I will reiterate: our nerves are strong. President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stated that we are ready to discuss any issues. But, of course, we are polite people and expect basic courtesies from those who will inevitably turn to us,” Lavrov emphasized.
