Mirzoyan: Such a Perfect Moment May Never Come Again

My Turkish and Azerbaijani colleagues would also confirm that we have never been this close to each other. This was stated by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in an interview with Turkish NTV channel, in response to a question about whether now is the right time to establish peace, to sign an agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and to normalize relations between Turkey and Armenia.

"I will try to answer a bit differently, if you don’t mind. I cannot assert that now is the 'right' time. It is possible that such a perfect moment may never come again. But I can say with confidence, and I believe my Turkish and Azerbaijani colleagues will also confirm this, that we have never been this close to each other. Perhaps the timing is not suitable, perhaps it will never be, but if we honestly assess where we are now, we can say that we have never been this close to peace and stability," said Ararat Mirzoyan.
