Trump Will Not Fire Anyone
US President Donald Trump stated in an interview with NBC News that he does not intend to fire anyone as a result of the scandal related to the group chat on the Signal app.
He emphasized that he trusts National Security Advisor Mike Waltz and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and referred to reports about their possible dismissal as false, labeling them as a "witch hunt."
It was previously revealed that senior officials in Trump's administration, including Vance, Rubio, Waltz, Whitkopf, Gabbard, and others, opened a group on the Signal app to discuss details regarding military operations against the Houthis. Pentagon chief Hegseth even shared all military operation plans in the group. By mistake, the editor of The Atlantic had been added to that group, who later published screenshots of the discussions held in the closed group.
