Zelensky Receives Bad News: Media Report
Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky is unlikely to rely on Europe as a guarantor of security in the future. In fact, the EU has formed not a "coalition of volunteers" but a "coalition of the unwilling." This was reported by the German publication Welt.
"It is doubtful that Zelensky will be able to count on European countries and other Western states as guarantors of Ukraine's security in the future," the article stated.
According to the article, the so-called "coalition of volunteers" created by French President Emmanuel Macron is, in reality, a coalition of the unwilling.
Paris and London have agreed to send a joint task force to Ukraine, announced French leader Emmanuel Macron. He will focus on reforming the Ukrainian armed forces. Furthermore, after a ceasefire in Ukraine, Europeans plan to send "deterrent forces" to the country, intending to deploy them in strategically significant locations.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that he expects European soldiers to join the efforts in Ukraine. The details of what the "coalition of volunteers" discussed in Paris were revealed in an article by gazeta.ru.
Previously, the State Duma referred to the meeting in Paris as a "summit of fervent Russophobes."
