Jair Bolsonaro to Stand Trial

The former president of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, will face trial on charges of attempting to overthrow the government, Reuters reports. The decision was made by the country's Supreme Court.

During the session on March 26, the judges determined whether the charges put forth by the prosecution were sufficient to initiate a criminal case, unanimously arriving at a positive response.

Alongside Bolsonaro, more than 30 individuals will also stand trial, whom the prosecution considers his accomplices.
