I Publicly Acknowledge My Mistake: Alen Simonyan
I want to publicly acknowledge my mistake. It turns out that about 2 years ago, I did ask the RA Police officers to remove the journalists who disrupted the work of the counting commission, which I did not remember. This was stated by the President of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, on his Telegram page.
Recall that the RA Police officers had taken away a banner from journalists protesting in the National Assembly, which read: "Andranik Kocharyan should clean his lips." With this action, the journalists were defending the right to free speech, which had previously been obstructed by Kocharyan.
Commenting on the incident, Alen Simonyan noted that "the Police have their functions, and he did not instruct them to take the banner away."
