He Will Become an Authoritarian Leader: Agazaryan
If Pashinyan is re-elected, he will become an authoritarian leader, which is dangerous for our statehood. I believe I must make a modest contribution to ensure that the Prime Minister is not re-elected. This was stated by MP Hovik Agazaryan during the discussion of the petition to lift his immunity in the National Assembly.
“Mr. Pashinyan has led our country during a very difficult period, making tough decisions. I agree with almost all of his decisions, and I am also largely okay with the peace treaty project, not just with the paper, but with the fact that the Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the team of the Civil Contract Party have proven to the world that we want peace. No one should foolishly think that Armenia could declare war on the Azerbaijani-Turkish tandem. This is what matters to me.
But since the Prime Minister has led the country during a very challenging period, and our political team has somewhat disbanded and changed, the Prime Minister has lost the trust of many. Therefore, if he is re-elected as Prime Minister, he will become an authoritarian leader, and under the current circumstances, this would be very dangerous for our statehood. I must make my modest contribution and do everything I can to ensure that the Prime Minister is not re-elected,” the MP stated. More details in the video.
