US Halts Financing of Anti-Russian Program
The Trump administration has announced the termination of funding for a program monitoring the fate of children relocated from Ukraine to Russia, reports The Washington Post.
American officials confirmed the contents of documents held by the publication. According to sources, this move has prevented the transfer of evidence to various prosecutors handling criminal cases regarding what the International Criminal Court has termed "the illegal transfer of children from the occupied territories of Ukraine."
Just the day before, the US Department of Justice had informed Europe of the country's withdrawal from the international group established to investigate the events in Ukraine.
