Azerbaijan Absolutely Rejects Armenia's Proposal: Hajizade
We categorically reject the statement from the Prime Minister's Office of the Republic of Armenia dated March 18, 2025, which not only makes completely unfounded claims against Azerbaijan but also distorts the realities and facts of shelling in border areas. This was announced by the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Aikhan Hajizade, while commenting on Armenia's proposal to establish a joint mechanism for investigating cases of ceasefire violations and/or similar information between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“Instead of demonstrating goodwill and refraining from such provocations, the Armenian side proposes complex and almost unfeasible initiatives that have no basis, just as was the case during the 30-year occupation of Azerbaijani territories by Armenia. This resembles the proposals put forward by the co-chairs of the Minsk Group in place of calls to cease the occupation. If the Armenian government, as stated by the Prime Minister's Office, is genuinely committed to a peace agenda, it would be appropriate to explain how massive militarization, including the deployment of strike weapons in border regions, serves that agenda,” Hajizade stated.
