Defense Ministry Issues Statement
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense has once again disseminated disinformation. This is reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.
Azerbaijan's statement, claiming that on March 17, between 17:25 and 21:45, units of the Armenian Armed Forces opened fire on Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern and southeastern parts of the border zone, is not true.
It is worth mentioning that the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia has proposed to establish a joint mechanism with Azerbaijan for investigating cases of ceasefire violations and/or information regarding such violations, to which Azerbaijan has not yet responded.
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reaffirms that in accordance with the position of the Prime Minister's Office, it is ready to investigate the facts supporting the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense's statement if they are provided to Armenia.
