Musk Plans to Send Humans to Mars
Tesla's Optimus spacecraft is set to launch to Mars by the end of 2026. This was announced by its creator, American entrepreneur Elon Musk, on his X social media page.
"If these flights are successful, then crewed flights could begin as early as 2029, although 2031 is a more likely date," the businessman wrote.
In February 2025, Tesla announced plans to produce 10,000 humanoid Optimus robots this year. Although Musk himself admits that reaching that number is not guaranteed, he has expressed confidence in manufacturing several thousand robots that will perform useful work at Tesla facilities.
