Merkel on Russia
Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel referred to Russia as a powerful nuclear state that evokes a certain admiration from U.S. President Donald Trump. "Russia is a huge country with many natural resources, a powerful nuclear state. And such a country obviously causes a certain admiration in someone like Donald Trump," Merkel said in an interview with Berliner Zeitung.
Commenting on the debate between Trump and Zelensky at the White House, she expressed a preference not to see that meeting take place.
