Statistical Perception in Armenia is that Turkey is a Threat to Armenia's Security
During a meeting with representatives of Turkish media, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that he wishes for the restoration of Armenian-Turkish relations.
"I would like the diplomatic relations between Armenia and Turkey to be established, the border to be open for railway and road transport communication, and business ties to be direct. There is currently direct dialogue between Armenia and Turkey. Considering the previous period of our relations, this is a significant change. Previously, we were deprived of the opportunity to clarify each other's viewpoints," the Prime Minister remarked.
According to him, the average statistical perception in Armenia is that Turkey is a threat to Armenia's security. "We have lost the causal relationship point and have gone through complexities and cataclysms, but now there is an opportunity to change the wording of this issue. We want to achieve a situation where the region is a source of stability, peace, and prosperity for Armenia. In my understanding, the normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations is a matter of time," Pashinyan emphasized.
