Pashinyan on the Case of a Pregnant Woman Who Died Due to His Motorcade
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced today in the National Assembly that unclear decisions have been made regarding individuals who acted against him in Syunik. “I will not even mention that representatives of the authorities are losing lawsuits in courts,” he said.
Referring to the death of pregnant Sona Mnatsakanyan due to his motorcade, Pashinyan stated that he had provided his phone number to the victim, and the last time she wrote to him was on June 6, 2022. “Do you have any basis now that I intervened in the case? I say it is impossible; such evidence cannot exist in nature,” added Pashinyan.
He further noted that when discussing moral responsibility, he does not understand what is meant. “In the state, there are mechanisms to determine responsibilities; I also say they are not functioning well. If you think you know the problems of the Armenian judicial system sufficiently, I assure you, you do not. I know the problems a bit closer to sufficient,” concluded the Prime Minister.
