Russia's Secret Deal Revealed: What Has Been Transferred to Iran - Financial Times
Since 2023, Russia has been assisting Iran in the development of hypersonic cruise missiles under a secret project coded C430L. This is reported by the Financial Times, which references a joint investigation based on leaked Russian documents, data from reciprocal visits, and an analysis of military permits.
According to the source, the collaboration has not ceased even amid military operations between the United States, Israel, and Iran. The primary goal of the project has been the development of a scramjet engine, which allows the missile to reach supersonic speeds. The Russian side has been coordinating the project through companies such as "Rosoboronexport" and "NPO Mashinostroyenia," involving leading experts in the missile engineering field.
The media outlet reports that Iran has already succeeded in producing a similar engine and conducting flight tests. At the same time, there are currently no official data or confirmed information indicating that new missile systems developed with Russian assistance have been accepted into the Iranian military's arsenal.
