How Many People Have Submitted Their Declarations So Far?
The "Haykanush" newspaper reports that the second phase of the universal income declaration system for individuals has started in 2024, with declarations for the 2024 reporting year due by November 1, 2025.
According to a response from the State Revenue Committee of Armenia to an inquiry by the newspaper, 5,766 individuals have submitted their declarations so far. When asked how many people have submitted a universal declaration to date, the State Revenue Committee replied, "According to the data available in the SRCA information database, as of February 10, 2025, 59,052 individuals had submitted income tax and social security calculations for the 2023 reporting year, while 5,766 individuals have done so for the 2024 reporting year. It is important to note that these figures are dynamically increasing."
It is worth mentioning that the introduction of the universal declaration system has caused considerable upheaval among citizens, leading the authorities to extend the declaration deadline from May 1 to November 1 due to public pressure as well as queue issues and gaps in the system. Regarding the reasons for extending the declaration submission deadlines, the SRCA clarified that this extension was made to provide sufficient time for citizens without identification cards.
