We Have Temporarily Frozen the Election of the President of Artsakh Parliament: Deputy Speaker
We have temporarily frozen the election of the President of the Artsakh Parliament. This was stated by the Deputy Speaker of the Artsakh Parliament, Gagik Bagunts, during a conversation with reporters at Yerablur.
It should be noted that September 2 marks the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Artsakh. On this occasion, current and former officials of Artsakh have visited Yerablur to lay flowers in memory of the soldiers who fell in wars.
The political figures visiting Yerablur included former Armenian Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan and Deputy Speaker Gagik Bagunts.
“There is no issue with the Artsakh Parliament members not gathering for this matter. Serious discussions are underway, taking into account all political and public issues. Considering several circumstances, we have temporarily frozen this issue,” said Bagunts.
Speaking about the Artsakh issue, he emphasized that it remains on their agenda and has social, economic, and humanitarian aspects.
