New US Secretary of State Calls for Renewing Gaza's Beauty
New US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has called to "beautify Gaza once again" in response to US President Donald Trump's statements about America's willingness to "oversee" the Gaza Strip. Earlier, Trump had announced that the US would "oversee" the Gaza Strip and would be responsible for the reconstruction efforts in the region, transforming it into the "Riviera of the Middle East" for the world. At the same time, he referred to the current state of Gaza as a "place in ruins" and suggested that its residents should permanently relocate to other countries, specifically proposing Jordan or Egypt as potential new homes. He also did not rule out the possibility of sending US troops to Gaza and promised to personally visit the area.
“Gaza must be far from Hamas, and the US is ready to take leadership and make Gaza beautiful again,” Rubio wrote on his social media page. Rubio's remarks reflect the well-known slogan of the elected Trump, "Make America Great Again."
