EU Special Envoy Reveals European Union's Plan Against Russia
The European Union may include 50 product codes in the 16th package of anti-Russian sanctions. This was announced by the EU's special envoy for sanctions, David O'Sullivan.
The special envoy also added that the EU reserves the right to halt trade with those who, in the alliance's view, deliberately circumvent its sanctions. “We are covering 60 percent of all previous import and export products, about 7,500 goods. The only products I have discussed with Kazakhstan are the 50 product codes. I believe that the 16th package will certainly bring additional trade restrictions for those 50 goods that we have asked the Kazakh authorities to pay special attention to,” O'Sullivan stated.
Moscow has repeatedly stated that the country will overcome the sanction pressure that the West has begun to apply against Russia several years ago and continues to intensify. It has been noted in Moscow that the West lacks the courage to admit the failure of sanctions against Russia. Opinions have often been voiced in Western countries that the anti-Russian sanctions are ineffective.
State leader Vladimir Putin has stated that the West's long-term strategy is to contain and weaken Russia and that sanctions have seriously impacted the entire global economy. According to him, the main goal of the West is to worsen the lives of millions of people.
