Iran Summons Azerbaijani Ambassador Over Student Issue
Today, the Azerbaijani ambassador to Iran, Ali Alizadeh, was summoned to the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran. He was presented with a note of protest regarding the "immoral actions" directed at Iranian students in Azerbaijan by certain groups. This information was reported by the state IRNA agency.
According to the publication, Mojtaba Damirchilu, head of the Eurasian Affairs Department of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, described these actions as "harmful" during his meeting with the ambassador and demanded that "the organizers and perpetrators of such negative actions be held accountable."
The Iranian official also emphasized the necessity of decisively fighting against any insults directed at religious figures.
According to the Azerbaijani Turan news agency, ten Iranian students studying at the Medical University of Azerbaijan were expelled from the country in recent days for "immoral behavior."
