Medical Research Data of Draftees to be Digitized, Says Papikyan
During the process of assessing the health status of conscript citizens and conducting medical examinations, the regulations regarding the entry of health data into an electronic system and the referral process will be managed electronically. This announcement was made by Defense Minister Suren Papikyan while presenting the latest draft decision.
According to him, the regulation stipulates that information about conscript citizens will be provided to healthcare organizations through the 'ArmMed' system, and the results of examinations will only be received in digital format. Laboratory and instrumental diagnostic data should be uploaded to the ArmMed system and stored for 10 years, including information from the citizen's outpatient card.
Papikyan stated that during the current conscription period, 1,800 draftees were sent for repeated examinations and that with the change in the law, this number can be reduced by 90%. 'This means that all related examinations will be mandatory, and there will no longer be any questions regarding the severity of any medical conditions of the draftee.
The changes being implemented will allow for the identification of potential health issues before the conscription age and initiate targeted treatment processes. This will enable obtaining digital health data for citizens and ensure traceability of health assessments, which is one of the most important aspects, thereby ensuring the efficiency of the process,' Papikyan said.
