Risk of Increased Seasonal Activity: Anahit Avanesyan
Since 2023, we have already identified the issue related to metapneumovirus in Armenia. There have been no cases reported in 2024, and we have not recorded any cases this year in Armenia. This was stated by the Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan during a press conference.
The Minister noted that daily monitoring is being conducted regarding the situation in the region and the risks of transmission in Armenia. "Overall, at present, we have a moderate situation concerning both acute respiratory infections and COVID-19, as well as influenza. At this moment, we do not have any alarming problems," she stated.
"However, we must understand that there is a risk of increased seasonal activity in general," the Minister added.
