Negotiations May Resume Within 24 Hours
Negotiations regarding a ceasefire and the release of hostages between Gaza and the Palestinian Hamas movement may resume in Qatar within the next 24 hours, Dmitry Gendelman, an advisor to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, told RIA Novosti.
"Negotiations regarding the release of hostages may resume in Qatar in the next 24 hours," Gendelman said. On Friday, Hamas representatives announced that indirect negotiations concerning Gaza would restart in Doha.
Previously, Netanyahu had instructed the negotiating team to continue communications in Qatar to stabilize the situation in Gaza and secure the release of Israeli hostages. The Israeli news portal Walla reported that on Friday, the delegation of negotiators would depart for Doha to continue discussions on the hostage situation in Gaza.
